Welcome to Madame Buraka’s universe.

— from the city streets to international superstars.

Invented by an elusive world-traveler and artist, inspired by femininity, power, and attitude.

The stunning chaos of her ever-evolving, nomadic existence can be harkened back to her original home:

—Eastern Europe, at the end of the Soviet Union’s collapse.

Madame Buraka made her mark as an adolescent graffiti artist in Germany before teaching herself the art of tattooing during a year spent in Barcelona. Now, she reveals herself in cities across the globe:

—New York, London, Milan, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zürich, Paris, and more

—in showrooms, events, and private studios where a lucky few manage to procure appointments before she vanishes again, only to materialize in a new locale days later.

Her work has been spotted on thousands of bodies, on merch, and more.

Named “Beauty Genius” by ELLE, Madame Buraka believes that tattoos represent an attitude, a contemporary religion.

Madame Buraka designs are made up of linear lines that depict powerful ladies from the electric 80s and alternative 90s, soulless dogs with a bark equally as strong as their bite, thorned roses sure to draw blood with the gentlest touch, and a signature script as fine and pointed as any razor’s edge.

Since appearing on the scene in 2013, Madame Buraka’s style has undergone a metamorphosis, from what used to be strictly flash, her experience on the road has sharpened her custom designs.

Her work has evolved off the skin as well, into paint, photography, and illustration found on cloth and other multimedia. Her art is not merely a tattoo, but a symbol of strength and a reminder of who you can become.
